Participants: The priest of the temple, and other 4 people, including a man who is good at martial arts, and a Dutch handcraftsman, artist)
Exercises:
- Loosening tension of legs, hip joints, and shoulder blades
- 洗髄功 Sen zui kou (Qigong exercise effective for desk work fatigue. Pass energy through meridians on the back, belly, and around waist. Refresh yourself with twisting the spinal cord.)
- 立式静功 Risshiki seikou (If you do it every day, your body energy will flow smoothly, and it will synchronize with that of the universe. As a result, it compensates for insufficient energy, and wash excess energy away.)
- 小抱石球 Shouhou sekkyuu (It is said to be effective for digestive system, especially peptic ulcer.)
- 双手穿掌 Soushu senshou (It is said to be effective for the lungs, trachea and bronchi. Unfold your chest and ease your shoulders.)
- 托天撈月 Takutenn rougetsu (It is said to be effective in the digestive system, especially chronic gastritis.)
- Cooling down exercise (At the end, the meridian is tightened and resistance is stored in the body. Also, if you feel sleepy or dull with above exercises, this one has an effect to change it to a clear awareness of everyday life.)

Born in Fukuoka. Graduated from Doshisha University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Cultural History.
Served as a laboratory secretary at a university medical school and a pharmaceutical university for 18 years.
From 1994 studied Qigong under Ms. Michiko Iwao. In 2013 received a lecturer qualification from Dr. Wan Su Jian at Beijing.

The date and time: Held 6 times a month, about 90 minutes each time.
1st and 3rd Tuesday 15:30- (9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17)
1st and 3rd Tuesday 19:00- (9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17)
1st and 3rd Wednesday 10:30- (9/18, 10/2, 10/16, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4, 12/18)
Cost: 2,200 yen once (half price for students and earthquake refugees)
What to bring: Large towels, drinks, loose clothes.
*Quigong can strongly affect some people. Please be responsible for your physical condition when participating. Ask the instructor if you have any health concerns.
